Just found out that we're expecting! I haven't been feeling myself lately and so I poas, and it took alot longer than I was willing to wait in the bathroom so I just set it aside and grabbed a bite from the kitchen. I almost forgot about it and then ran in to check, and there it was a distinct "+". DH already left for work (and had silenced his cell) so he doesn't know yet. Also our in-laws are visiting, so I was wondering.... whats a good way to tell him that we're expecting? I want to be sure that he finds out before anyone else, and honestly we're really not that far along, so I don't know if I want the inlaws to know just yet (or anyone else) We have a date night planned tommorrow, so I thought maybe telling him then? I'm not sure if I can keep it that long.
Our babies will be 1 year 29 days apart, I'm so excited!
Re: almost irish twins!
Congrats! I would caution though - have you since taken another test? The fact that you said a "+" makes me think it's a blue dye test which are notorious for false positives and also you may have gone past the 10 minute time limit... Not trying to rain on your parade at all, just wanted to recommend taking another test to confirm.
Anyway, congrats again and H&H 9 months!

yep, I took a digital one the 2nd time. I'm going in to my DR later today to get a blood test.
Thanks! I can't wait!
oh ok good! I just hate seeing those "blue dye" posts when it's a false positive - makes me sad!
in answer to when to tell DH, I like the idea of doing it on your date tomorrow (if you can wait that long!)

Congrats! I'm in the same situation. Baby #3 will be due 20 days after baby #2's first birthday. We wanted our kids close in age, but we weren't expecting them to be this close. I'm excited and freaking out at the same time. I just got a 2nd blood draw today, so if the beta levels look good we'll tell everyone on Easter.
For our DS I took my DH out for ice cream and told him, so maybe after dinner I'll take him out for ice cream and give it to him. We probably won't tell ppl until June or so.
My first two are 1 year and 2 days apart. March 19 and March 21. its awesome. For now we celebrate their birthdays together. Once they start school, then they will have their own celebrations.
Congrats!
