Crew/Crue?

We saw the name Crue today in the newspaper and the more I say it, the more I like it. Do I need to get over it because it is horrible or is it a fun and different name? If so, thoughts on the spelling?

I met a little boy named Crew and it's been a guilty pleasure name ever since. I don't know why, but I really like it. It's probably because he was adorable and it suited him. I always pictured is as a preppy/chic type of name.

There was a preschool student in my class named Crew. He was absolutely adorable. It is definitely a super preppy name.

I just found Crewe on Nameberry. It is of Welsh origin and is a variation of Carew.

I like the sound of it, I just wouldn't use Crew or Crue as the spelling because one is a noun/sport and the latter is just made up.

I love it! I would spell it Crewe, so it has more meaning and so people wouldn't think I just really loved J.Crew (which I do!).

I know a Crew and he is a pretty nice guy. I always thought it was a cool name. I don't think it is that unusual and most people who met him didn't think twice about it being odd or anything.

I WILL add that I think you have to have a simple last name to pull it off though. If it's Crew Anderson or Crew Jones that would sound great, but Crew Skrzynski or something of the likes would just make him sound either super foreign or have an odd ring in my opinion.
