Would you vote?

If your DH was voting opposite from you?  I haven't made up my mind but DH said if I vote opposite then we should just not vote since we'll cancel each other out anyway.

And since I am still so undecided, do you think I should vote for who DH is voting for since he's pretty passionate about who he's voting for?  I honestly like things about both candidates so I wouldn't mind if either of them wins.

Re: Would you vote?

  • When layla was in the hospital last year, I didn't want to leave. ?I knew DH was voting for the opposite candidate, so I told him that we just wouldn't vote since our votes will cancel each other out.?

    ?

I am still undecided, but I think if we were both split, I don't know that I would want to waste time going to vote if we were voting for opposite candidates...

    ?

And I'm not sure that you should vote for someone just b/c your DH is.. without deciding for yourself. ?

  • I would still vote because voting is important to me.

  • I probably would but if you are looking for a "excuse" it appears you are in a blue state that doesn't have much swing.   So either way, Connecuticut will contribute its 7 electoral votes to Obama

  • I don't know about you, but we vote for more than just the presidential election in Nov. In which case, yes your vote matters. And personally, it wouldn't matter to me what my husband did or didn't do. I would vote for what I believe simply because I can.
  • Oh crap, I was looking at the pp.  Texas is a red states and its 34 electoral votes will go to McCain.

  • I've thought about proposing that to DH and then voting anyway.  I wouldn't actually do it, but it's fun to think about.
