Jogging stroller as everyday stroller?

Does anyone use a jogging stroller as their everyday stroller or do most people buy two different strollers?  I really want a nice crossover - something that is good for neighborhood walks, short runs, but also isn't too bulky to take to the mall.   Any suggestions or thoughts?

  • This is what I plan to do. I don't want to have a million strollers so I'm getting one to use for most occasions, especially because I know i"m going to be walking and eventually jogging a lot. I"m getting the BOB revolution for mine.

    Same here.

I wouldn't do it if I lived in the city and took public transportation everywhere, but it will work for where I live.

  • I am looking at the Baby Jogger Summit.  A friend has it and loves it.  I walked around a store with the sample last weekend and it seemed doable.

My bestfriend uses her BOB for everyday use.  They do lots of walks/running during the week and has a big car.

  • We have always used the BOB, when DD got older we eventually got an umbrella stroller but we really only use that when we are going to the mall or something.

  • We are doing this but went with the Bumbleride Indie. Love it.
  • Getting baby jogger city elite. Has bigger tires than the mini so we can use it for the park and walks as well as everyday.

  • I would do just a jogging stroller if your carseat is compatible. Saves space and money!

  • We're using the Baby Jogger City Elite. Awesome stroller with a SUPER EASY fold! We liked the BOB too, but decided against it because it don't fold as easily and the handle bar wasn't adjustable like on the Elite.
  • We were in the same situation when I was pregnant.  Save yourself the money of buying 2 strollers and purchase one good quality jogging stroller.  We have the Baby Jogger City Elite and it works out great as our everyday stroller.  We are very active outside and figured we rather invest in something more "all terrain" that I could use everywhere. The one handed fold makes it easy to bring places and its not so bulky that it wont fit through store isles, etc.  It has the optional car seat adapter but honestly you don't really need it because the seat fully reclines for infants to lay in.  If you ever need something for travel, just buy a cheap $20 umbrella stroller.

This is what we're doing too.  Although it's not actually meant for jogging.  As long as the stroller has a rotating front wheel - you should be good to go for everyday use.

  • I use my Bumbleride Indie as my everyday. It has the carseat adapter bar that her infant seat attaches to, and it folds up pretty compact. I would definitely do something with the air filled tires (all terrain, not just jogging) it makes for a smoother ride for LO.
