Re: ~~~Weekly PG Check-In~~~
QOTW: Well, the nursery is clean, and it has a dresser/changer, rocking chair, crib, and other hand me down stuff from people. Next week it will be filled with stuff from my shower this weekend that I will have no idea how to organize. I'm not a decorator, so there is not painting going on. There may be curtains at some point.
Update: Im in Boston at a conference and Sparky has been kicking up a storm. Its strong enough to feel from the outside now, so hopefully DH can feel him for the first time when I get home Thursday. How exciting!
Everything is going very well this time. #3 is another GIRL. I still have so much to do. My MIL did by me some wonderful baby bedding and I am super excited about it. I still need to pull out all nb-3mth clothes and wash them to get ready.
QOTW: No nursery for us. Our nephew is coming to live with us to start ACC at the end of the summer, so he'll get the 3rd bedroom. We're gonna have baby and baby stuff in our room.
Update: Feeling good, mostly. Although I admit my baby ticker isn't just a countdown to baby girl's arrival, but also to the time when I can resume taking my mental health medication. I try to focus on my LO's developing lungs and how healthy she'll be, and how it's worth it. But it's still very challenging. DH is being very supportive.
Our nursery is a jungle theme. We painted the walls green on the bottom for grass and hills and blue for the sky. It's so cute and can't wait to add the mural around memorial. All is well!
QOTW: M is moving to a big boy room and we're keeping the current nursery for the next baby. If we have another boy, its going to stay exactly the same. If its a girl, I'll get some new girlie sheets, but everything else is pretty much gender neutral. Or at least I think that is my plan, if I find out I'm having a girl I may go crazy, we'll see.
Update: I've been having some serious RLP this week. I thought I had appendicitis on Saturday it hurt so much. Going for our big ultrasound this week, hope the baby cooperates and shows us the goods!
QOTW: We wanted to do some kind of travel theme to incorporate all the places in the world that we've been, but I couldn't come up with anything that was still feminine, so we went a little more abstract w/ Japanese Cherry Blossoms. We loved our trip to Japan and we found some cherry blossom bedding that we liked, so there ya go. I'm printing and hanging 3 of the cherry blossom pictures I've taken from our travels and we were going to do hanging lanterns in the corner. However, a friend did the tissue paper poms for my shower and they were the perfect colors, so I took some home and hung those instead. We also plan to put up 2 floating shelves and one will have trinkets from each of the continents we've been to. Overall color scheme is pink and brown. glider is being delivered today!
Update: I'm about ready to declare myself D-O-N-E. it's gotten really difficult to do anything in the last couple of days and sleep has pretty much left me completely. if I'm going to be this tired and uncomfortable, I'd rather she just be here and let me have a reason for being awake all night. I'm also really craving the idea of having my body back to myself sometime soon. My 37-week appointment was yesterday and I'm still closed, 60% effaced, and -2 station. One of my best friends is getting married on the 29th, so I'm hoping she stays in until then. The 30th however, sounds like a fine birthday! May 5th (cinco de mayo) or May 8th (my due date and mother's day) would also be cool with me.
QOTW: nursery is non-existant. one of the reasons why we're staying with my parents and not the ILs is because my parents have a bunch of baby stuff from my niece/nephew so we're set with a PNP/crib/changing table, etc. I'm bringing some stuff to the house but the rest is going into storage. we'll figure it out once we have a permanent place (please be soon).
update: I finally had a decent night's sleep last night, I think the exhaustion finally caught up to me. and baby was moving a ton yesterday, he was probably sensing my stress, not good.
not sure if I had any BH contrax or if it was just RLP, but I was feeling some kind of something. nothing today though fortunately.
QOTW: haven't done anything to prepare the nursery yet. waiting for my brother to move out next month before we can bring in all the hand-me-down furniture and clothes from our sisters.
Updates: definitely starting to show now. i'm always a week or two behind with belly pics, so nothing current. we find out the sex tomorrow!!! it's actually starting to feel a bit more real. i've been coasting along thus far. and i just had to laugh at myself yesterday while trying to find a shirt long enough to cover my belly. no denying that i'm prego now.
QOTW: We are moving C into the guest room and moving new baby into the nursery, but not for several month after she is born. The guest room will be used by all our visitors after baby is here, plus she will be in our room in the PnP so no rush. I'm a little nervous about transitioning C into the guest room and out of his crib - yikes! The nursery is currently green, and I found baby girl PB bedding that I love so I think we'll go with that. Otherwise, all the furniture will stay in there.
Updates: Still measuring ahead and feeling ginormous! And I have a long way to go still, ugh. I can't believe I will be 30 weeks on Saturday though!
QOTW: we haven't done much with the nursery. we did order a crib and dresser/changing table to that's in there. my DH wants to paint, wait for it, super mario brother art on the wall. i'm staying out of it and letting him do what he wants. i did DD's big girl room, so he can do what he pleases. I just remind him that he has to be done in +/- 10 weeks.
Updates: i'm still feeling good. i've starting waking up to pee a little more which is annoying, but i guess getting me prepared.
QOTW: our nursery is starting to come together in that we almost have all the pieces. im dedicating this weekend to getting my DH to assemble all the items we have and figure out where everything should go
Updates: so far so good except for trying to change sides in bed- its so hard! i have an appt and sonogram next week and then go every 2 weeks- that makes me realize how soon the baby will be here!
QOTW: No nursery plans yet. I have to admit I'm superstitious and want to wait until 2nd Tri to start planning. 4 more weeks and I will start stalking blogs for inspiration!
Update:
We saw the baby today at my RE office and it was magical! It has arm and leg buds and a great heartbeat! I graduate to my Ob next week and I will miss him so much. PM me if anyone needs an RE...I can't say enough good things about him.
congrats again to amyliisa!! Big hugs to ssinca, glad you finally got some rest last night.
QOTW - We've got a fish/ocean thing going on. DH is kind of obsessed with fish (we have 3 tanks) and wants to put a little tank in there, too. We did blue on the walls, kind of like pp with the jungle theme, with a darker shade on the bottom and a lighter (sky) on the top. With waves, of course. We have a lot of cool fish paraphernalia from trips to Mexico so we'll decorate the walls with that. Picking up a dresser at IKEA and ordering a glider this weekend, other than that there is a crib in there. I really love the way it looks so far!
Updates - Feeling really blah these days, my emotions are getting the best of me and the worrywart is starting to come out. Work has been super busy and stressful the last month or so and we have a lot going on outside of work, too. I think I need to just slow down. Still waiting to lose the spare tire and gain a baby bump. :-(
No nursery for us. We will be moving in August and figured our time would be better spent packing and purging than decorating a room we would use for 10 weeks at most. We are planning to have the baby in our room in a pnp for that time til we move. Right now all the baby stuff is in the guest room closet or on the floor of the living room.
Dissertation defense is in a week and one day. I feel slow and unmotivated. Heartburn is still my number one complaint, although I'm starting to get hip pain when I wake up in the morning and lower back pain at the end of the day. I think we have a final short list for names, although last night as I was falling asleep I kept second guessing the girl names.
QOTW: Nursery is still in progress. We have decided that once we get the crib (at the shower this weekend) we are going to move the queen size bed out of the room and put the queen size sofa sleeper in to make the room less claustrophobic. I'm not supposed to know, but my mom is not only making one set of bedding (bumper, sheets, skirt) but also bought another set to match our theme (turquoise & lime green), so I'm really excited about that. I think after the shower DH will realize we need to finish getting it all together, he hates clutter so I'm hoping this will be a motivator.
I'm feeling okay. I had a bad back before getting PG, so lately its just been insanely painful. I only have 4 days left of work thankfully, so hopefully that will take some of the stress off of it (I have to lift stuff and bend all day at work). I'm still really anemic with the iron supplements that I've been on since 16 weeks, so that is just making me not want to do a darn thing ever...and of course I still can't sleep even though I'm exhausted. I just keep telling myself "9 more weeks" over and over again. I can't wait to meet Little Bean
QOTW: We are doing a "robots and rockets" theme for the nursery. It was already painted blue with stars for baby girl, so we just had to take out her girly decor and it's all ready to be boy-ed up. We've been much more focused on getting her big-girl room decorated and ready, so we haven't really done squat for the nursery. It's okay b/c he'll be in our room in the beginning, but I'd still like to have it somewhat squared away before he comes.
Update: it's been kind of a hard week. My work schedule is insane for the next three weeks, when all I really want to be doing is slowing down and transitioning out. Couple that with DH being gone on business since Monday, and my body and mind are just sort of done. Glad he's back today to start helping out again. My doc's appt next week is the first one where they'll check for progress--yikes!!
the belleh:
Did G decide to move out on his own or did you guys kick him out (or hint very strongly that Uncle G would be on diaper duty)? lol
AAAAAHHH!!! I can't wait to hear what you're having!

he is NOT good with kids other than patting their heads and telling them to go away, so i think he wanted out of our house anyway. he has a free place to stay at one of my sister's, but she lives up in cedar park (he works in westlake) and he'd be putting up with her 2 LOs. instead, he's moving into a friend's house.
i'll be sure to post after tomorrow when we find out the sex.
aww thanks!!
Question of the week: Tell us about the nursery!
I don't even have the baby's room cleaned out yet! Phoey on me! But..I'm making progress- garage sale this weekend so that should clear out quite a bit of room. Not sure of a theme yet. If it is a boy I'm sure it will be a sports theme. A girl? It seems that all of the girl nursery themes look like Pepto Bismol vomited in there...I'm not fond of all of the PINK. I'll figure it out- I've found some here and there.

Things still seem to be the same. I have my 12 week appt tomorrow and I'm a little nervous. I'm sure things will be just fine but am dying to have the extra sense of 'things being ok'. I did take a bump pic this week but its still on my camera...will post soon- my goal is next week!
We did our girl nursery in BLUE (:::gasp:::) and added some bright, colorful accents. You definitely don't have to commit to a world of pink with a little girl.
Question of the week: Tell us about the nursery!
Our nursery is what we use as the game room. We started cleaning it out and realized we won't have any closet space, but maybe about 4 feet. I'm sure it will be fine but we don't have a lot of storage place to hold things we want/need to keep. I have been looking online at different themes and I think we've come up with this one: https://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=cocalo+alphabet+soup&rlz=1I7SUNA_en&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=7265336504931695042&sa=X&ei=KFewTb-XNY6UtwevqPDnCw&ved=0CE0Q8gIwAg#
Updates: I just hit 5 weeks today! I was excited to see my ticker change fruits.
I've also been feeling the cramping still but realize it gets better when I fill up with water. Today I've been hit with dizziness but nothing else. I can still sleep on my stomach and I'm loving it.
Yeah, I'm definitely keeping my eye out. Just all of the pink is overwhelming (no offense to McGee's little M)...a great option I have- my aunt can make baby bedding!
