Am I being paranoid? 

He's been on augmentin since thursday and is still up every 45min or so.  We're into week 3 of ear hell.  I don't even know anymore.. would you take him in today or wait another few to see if it kicks in????

omg, i feel SOOO sorry for you! I would at least call them, if they say bring him in then do it, but... I'd be calling for sure. 3 wks is a lot of time! Poor guy...

Take him back.  My dd had ear infections repeatedly for the entire first year.  Some would last 6 weeks.  They will keep adjusting the medication until they get it right, and then possible put him on something for 3 weeks as a preventative.  Augmentin and Amoxicillin never worked for Maddie.  She had to be on something else, it stats with a C but I can't remember the name.  Since she turned 18 months she has had one minor infection, so I blank it all out.

Three weeks seems like a long time to me. I'd think you'd see SOME improvement by now so getting him checked again is probably not a bad idea. Good luck!

Definitely take him back, he may have gotten another e/i. From my experiance, B was always better within 1-2 days of antibiotics.

You are not being paranoid.  Take him back.  You should at least some improvement by now.  Maybe it isn't the right antibiotic.

See if they can put him on Zythromiacin (not sure how to spell it).  This is the only thing that works for DS when he has an ear infection, which seems to be once a month at this point.  I hope he feels better soon.
