I'm in the hospital now (had back surgery yesterday) and this morning the nurse saw the boys on my phone and said "i have twin girls".We chatted about that and she showed me a picture, saying "they look a lot alike now." I asked her off she thought they were frat because there were two placentas and she said yes. After looking at the picture, I said there's a good chance they're ID.

Hahahahaha, that's hilarious!  Maybe you can turn this into your own personal consulting business on the side.  You can be like, "show me your pic - oh by the way, that'll be $10 bucks!"  Ha!  I know if I would have just taken your word for it, I could have saved myself $150 so that's a steal.  

Hope your recovery from surgery goes quickly and you are feeling ok!

Well you are the master at i.d.ing IDs!  Mine are ID and that is what you said they looked like.  This post made me smile this morning...and that is saying something b/c it's like the 5th day of rain here and we are only getting more.  I hope you feel better soon.

Wait I am confused -  so you can have Identical "frat" twins.  We have dyzygotic(SP) twins ) IVF ) implanted 2 eggs two stuck .. But I never heard of 2 placentas equaling ID twins ?  PEA-KAY can you enlighten me ?????

1:9 di/di twins are identical. if the embryo splits early enough. if you did IVF and transferred 2 embroyos and have di/di twins, they're almost certainly fraternal. (but there are mo/di twins that are the result of IVF.)

Hope you're feeling better.  I don't know if you'll remember this, but I had asked a question about whether anyone had back problems a few months ago and you had replied to my post about it.  Just wanted to tell you I had back surgery (laminectomy) in February (although for different reasons).  I feel a million times better now - so I hope you will soon too!

that's what i had yesterday, the laminectomy! i'm glad to hear you're better now. i'm still a little sore from the surgery, as you can imagine.

I have been very anxious for my NT scan coming up in 2 weeks to see if they think we're having ID's or fraternals, ever since you paged me saying that they look ID.
