Anderson's normally a great sleeper. Goes down and sleeps 12-13 hours, rarely do we hear him up during the night.
Last night, yall? OMGZ. He woke up at 10. SCREAMING. I was afraid it was a nightmare or something, but when I got up there, he calmed down the second I got into his room and was all chatty. Rubbed his back, tucked him back in, left. SCREAM. Repeat that like 10x. Tried bringing him to our bed as a very last resort around midnight, he thought we were playing then. He didn't settle down until after 1am and that took a good 45 minutes of off and on crying. WTF? I don't think it was night terrors since he wasn't freaked out when we got in there, I doubt it was ear related because he'll usually tell me that, room was a good temp, his temp felt fine, he hadn't eaten anything new or weird, blablabla. What worries me is that he did this twice when we were in CA, I just figured it was being somewhere other than home ... but then last night happened.
Can you girls think of something I might be missing? Is there some 2 1/2 year sleep disturbance nobody told me about? Or do you think he just decided it was fun to have all this attention during the night, in which case, hello CIO tonight? Mama's dyyyyying. And rethinking EVER having another baby.
Re: what could this be? (toddler sleep related)
LL, that's very likely.
Hopefully someone whose toddler has had nightmares will weigh in, but I felt like if he were having nightmares he would have seemed a little freaked out when we went in there. Instead it was like "oh, mom, hiiiiiii!!!!!" PleaseGodPlease don't let it be night terrors. I'm worthless this morning.

conversation/talking growth spurt? my ds#2 went thru major sleep disturbances every time he made some big talking/conversation leaps (esp b/t 2 and 2.5yo). ???
sorry! hope you get some sleep tonight!
That might be something, actually. The past few weeks he's been talking so much more and really trying hard to get phrases out .... let's hope that's it. Thanks!
