If your baby had a fever when teething

How high did it get? Riley woke up with her first tooth and a low-grade fever today. It was 101.4 when I took it, then gave Tylenol. I had to work, but DH said when she got up from her nap 5 hours after the Tylenol it was holding right around 100. He gave her more before dinner because she was chewing on her fingers and fussing sporadically. I just checked with the temporal (6 hours after her last dose) and it was up to 102. I hate fevers, I worry all night about it spiking, when in reality it has always broken some time after midnight. I keep reminding myself the office won't see her until it's over 102 for 24 hours (or gets to 105) so I've done all I can for now, but it doesn't make me feel any better.

DD usually runs around 101 when she is teething. I just give her tylenol and don't worry about it too much. She got up to 103 once but she has been putting in four teeth at once. I wouldn't overly worry about it unless the tylenol isn't dropping her temperature at all.

Poor girl.  It's painful for these little people!  My DD has spiked 102 fever for 3 out of her 5 teeth.  The last tooth, her fever persisted at 101.6 for almost 72 horus even with tylenol and ibuprofen.  Have you tried ibuprofen instead of tylenol?  I've heard it helps better.  Hope she cuts that tooth soon!  GL Mama.

DS is going through this right now.  He was 101.9 before tylenol and closer to 100.6 after the tylenol kicked in.  After 2 days, he's back down to 99, but the teeth haven't poked through, so we continue to wait...

DD's fever is usually 100 to 102.  It hasn't gone above 102 but there were a lot in the 101.9 range.  Teething is rough!

Thank you for the input! It's fluctuating between 99 and 100 today, which I know isn't really considered a temperature (at least by my office) so I'm assuming it's tooth related. She's more active today, but still clingy, poor thing.
