Anyone have LO 1 climbing all over you while pregnant?

How concerned should I be that DS loves to climb on me. I try to cover my stomach so he doesn't kick me in it, but inevitably he always somehow gets a foot in there. Did this happen to you? Is this that big of a deal?

  • This is happening to me too! I just try my best to avoid his legs and feet...lol which is hard. I try not to let my DS climb on me too much but he wants to be held so it does happen.

  • its almost inevitable!!

My DS was only 6 mos when I got pg w/ DD so he was climbing up me non stop - - LO#2 is pretty well protected in there , and if your LO#1 isn't outright violent and aggressive (which i'm sure is not a problem!) then your regular cautiousness is fine!

  • almost daily at least 2-3 times a day. I generally have to distract him so he doesn't kick or jam his feet in or on my stomach.

  • it happens all the time and it hurts but no harm done baby is protected by your placenta so there is alot of cushion.
  • The entire pregnancy she has climbed/crawled on me.  OB says that it is okay so I am not too worried.

    This.

If having a toddler climb on you put a pregnancy in danger there wouldn't be as many 2nd children as there are.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • Yep.. that and wrestling me to get clothes/pjs on after bath time... OMG... don't know how I'm going to survive.  OB said I have no restrictions..
