I'm researching bags for 2 kids. So far I like the Ju Ju Be the best. Looks like there are 2 types the B.F.F and Pack A Be. If you have one of these which one and what do you like and dislike about them?
I have the PackaBe. I can't compare it to the BFF, because I don't have the BFF. Mostly because it was more $.
Anyway, I really like the PackaBe. I almost always wear it as a backpack. It holds everything I need for having two in cloth diapers, plus snacks. extra clothes, etc.
I think you will probably be happy with either one. I think overall they are pretty similar, and both have a great features that all Ju Ju Be bags have.
I have a BFF and a Be Prepared. I love them both. My favorite is the BFF for daily use. When I take both kids out for a long day out of the house I pack the Be Prepared; it's almost like a suitcase, but I love it. I don't have a problem carrying it all day even though it's large.
What I like about the BFF is that the side of the bag opens up, so you don't lose things in the bottom of a "bottomless pit" bag. I'm not a fan of digging and searching for things at the bottom of a stack because it means I have to repack it all when I'm done. With the BFF you can pack so that everything is visible and easy to grab. The backpack straps are really handy, but it's not really a backpack bag. I have used it that way when grocery shopping or other times when it was convenient, but the bag doesn't hang like a back pack when you wear it....and the straps pull at the stitching a bit when worn that way. I wouldn't buy it just to be a backpack.
If you want the organization but still want a backpack, look at the Be Right Back. The Packabe is also a backpack, but apparently doesn't have as much division for organization.
Check out the Pink Room forum at JJB's website for more help with specific bags. There are also comparison pics for sizes and how much the bags will hold. Lots of mamas were very helpful there when I was searching like crazy for the perfect bag(s). I'm really glad I have both the BFF and the BePrepared. With two in cloth diapers I can never pack a full day of supplies in the BFF, but when I don't need to pack all that for a short day the BFF is perfect. I'm considering another BFF in a new pattern just to shake things up. I love it....I might have only needed one bag if the BFF had been 30% bigger...lol.
There is also a FSOT at the Pink Room where you can get like new bags for less than retail. I bought my BFF from a mama there for $25-30 less than retail and it was in great shape. I've also bought some new and like new accessories there.
I have the Jujube BFF. I like it okay. I got it because DH wanted a backpack option. It is actually odd as a backpack, it doesn't sit right on our backs. But it has good organization and features. I wish I would have gotten the pack-a-be.
But now I think I need an even bigger bag for two in cloth diapers. Maybe I'm an overpacker but sometimes I can hardly get the BFF zipped up! lol.
