Strollers

Kids broke the used maclaren double we bought at emoms before they were born (ripped the canopy).

our other is a bob duallie

Tripe to iowa...   no stroller...  walk twins thru airport...  bob (gate checked, no bag, they dont make one big enough... ive heard some folks use bungee cords to secure it)

buy 2 singles...  mind you gabe is 40pds...  so w need one that goes to 50 to make it worth while.

I like the idea of having 2 singles...  we'd still use the bob for mall trips etc, but the smaller strollers could be nice or when we are out with one...

Re: Strollers

  • Because I love you, I just googled 50 pound umbrella stroller and found this website:  https://www.strollers.com/0-45-Lbs.-l595-c367135-A4279~11427.html

I narrowed the search to umbrella strollers and 0 - 45 pounds and then 50+ pounds.  There's not a lot on the high end of the scale....it may not end up being worth it for the 2 singles.

Having been through the airport with Madelyn & Will with Will in our single stroller - we did make it with her walking.  Slowly - but she did it. And she was just 2.  And knowing you're going to LOVE this part - I kept her on her little doggy back pack leash.  I had to.  I was afraid of having her run off or someone pull her away and I couldn't react quick enough with will.  It may be worth it with the twinks.

On the other hand, buying two of these: https://www.strollers.com/Cosco-Juvenile-US031AIMA-CJV1156.html may be worth keeping them contained.  If I'd had a second set of hands, I'd have done this for Madelyn.  And...when the twinks are 6 and William's wife is 3, you may be glad you had an extra single umbrella stroller.

  • If you just want a couple of single strollers this one https://www.amazon.com/First-Years-Stroller-City-Chic/dp/B002WB2G9I is a pretty good one!   We've had it for almost a year and except for a little issue with the wheels hopping when we first got it, its been great.   Its super easy to push and steer, and it never tips over no matter how many bags and crap I have hanging from the handles.   Plus it goes to 50lbs which was a must for my chunkster.
