My mom and MIL are doing mine.  In my family it has always been the mother of the mom to be who plans the shower.

My mom gave me my first shower and my BFF is giving me a shower for this baby! (I know its not very common on this board to have a second shower, but we celebrate all babies!!) So my BFF told me mom she wanted to do it!! I am so excited! I am having another girl, so this is more of a diapers and wipe shower and just a celebration of a new life!

My mom, MIL and sister are planning mine.  I planned my sister's with my mom.  I think it all depends on who offers.

My best friend is throwing mine.  She volunteered as soon as I told her we were pregnant!

Family, for me.. Unless this is a best friend that you've grown up with, I feel like its a lot of burden to host a shower.  I personally feel more comfortable receiving it from my mom than friends.

It could be friends or family. My mom is throwing mine for me. It is something special to share with who ever wants to throw one for you.

Friends.  I've never gone to a family hosted shower.

The grandmother-to-be always hosts on both sides of my family.  I had one of those and then my friends at work are throwing me a shower there.
