My cousin could really use your help, ladies. Her question from FB, "Anyone have any tips on what to do when a 21mo old baby wont stop crying for 30 straight mins?!!?"
Cousin volunteers as an advocate for foster children and does regular one-on-one visits w/the kids so obviously this isn't a baby she works with regularly or knows well. I suggested it may be separation anxiety and she responded, "Yea, she kept saying "mommy." I tried ignoring the crying and reading out loud from one of those books that you can push buttons and make noise and that would work for a min, but then she'd start right back up. I need a better way to distract her, but where we have our visits is not very stimulating." So does anyone have any great suggestions for her? I gave her a couple but I'm sure she could use all the help she could get at this point. She's really great w/kids but could use an extra hand right about now.
