Uddercovers.com Scam?

Hi ladies,

I placed an order for a nursing cover about a week ago with the company above after a recommendation from a friend. The transaction was processed via my bank 7 days ago. However, I never received a confirmation of my order from the company (checked spam and all other folders). 

I just tried to call the number listed on the website and it seems very unprofessional. I've tried to route my call to a customer service rep, but no matter what I press, I'm routed to a voicemail with no greeting. There is a place on the site where you can either type in the email address you registered with or your tracking/confirmation number to determine the status of your order. Since I never received a confirmation number, I typed in my email address and received a message that said "We do not have any orders with payments for this invoice." 

Interestingly enough, on the "Contact Us" page (something I never needed to click until today), there is a FAQ entitled: "I've read online that your website is a scam. Why?" :::facepalm::: 

The friend that recommended the site to me received her nursing cover just fine, and I checked out the company's BBB rating and found several disputes that were resolved, but none of this is sitting well with me. Has anyone else had a successful transaction with this company? Is it possible that the phone systems are down and acting funny?

Thanks for any insight or advice you can provide!

I have had 3 successful orders from them.  A lot of people think its a scam because its "free" stuff if you pay shipping.  The quality isn't the greatest but the cover does the job.

I received my uddercover just fine.  There should be a way to look up your purchase on their website to see if it was complted.  I believe one of my orders didn't go through but I was able to locate it on their website.  If all else fails dispute the claim with your bank especially if you used a VISA Atm Debit card.  If you dispute the claim that will get their attention.  Odds are that they are mailing you your cover and that it will come any day now.  I'd just give it some more time.

I ordered and got mine no problem. The shipping took a little while, but thats because I'm in Canada. Keep trying to figure things out, as I know a good number of women got their covers just fine.

Yeah, it's really strange, because the transaction cleared my bank, but they are not finding any record of my placing an order. I've provided the email address, phone number, full name, and my mailing address and the rep keeps telling me that she doesn't see that I ever placed an order with them, even though she knows it cleared my bank.  And she won't call me either. 

I think the best way to go is to dispute it with my bank, like you mentioned. I'm just wary of the company at this point.

I ordered a nursing cover about 8 weeks ago. I was worried too because I never really received any updates about the order after the original confirmation. However, my cover just arrived in the mail yesterday. It's pretty nice! I'm happy with the purchase overall.

I ordered from there and it took about 2 months before I received the product (I live on the west coast), so it look much longer than I expected, but I did receive it.

Right now, all of their covers are either on backorder or out of stock.  I order mine when I was pregnant with DD #1.  Got it four weeks later.  I love it.

Ok, I believe I might have resolved my issue. I finally got someone on the phone and after arguing with him that my bank DID process the transaction (he was claiming that they never received payment), I said I would dispute it with my bank. He said I could place the order again and I told him that I was no longer comfortable doing business with them. Somehow, he managed to find my information at that point. Hmm... A bit shady, but he says it will be here by the end of the month. I asked for an email confirmation and just received it. Thanks for your help, ladies!

I agree with PP that said it takes a loong time to receive the order and that the quality of the cover is not very good. I live in Toronto, Canada so i expect things to take a bit longer anyway...

hmmm... that's very interesting. i got one last year and had no problems. other friends of mine never had an issue either.

like a pp said the quality of the cover isn't all that great, but for $10 (which was probably the cost to make the cover anyway), it got the job done

Mine took approx. 4-6 weeks to arrive and I also didn't receive a confirmation, but the product arrived just as expected.  I haven't used it yet, but it seems to be decent quality and will serve the purpose for little $.

I ordered an uddercover and a sevensling on the same day..received both. Im sure they are the same company, maybe you can get ahold of someone at sevenslings.com. Also i dont think they are truly "free" they are only worth the shipping cost. I would never pay the "full" price for one. I think my uddercover was worth the shipping..the sling  i think i could have done without.

I had pretty much the exact same situation as you and everything worked out fine.  I ordered the "free" seven sling and got a code for the udder cover. I then ordered the "free" udder cover.  I received a confirmation for the sling, but never the cover. I didn't worry too much about it, and received both packages on the same day just a couple weeks later.  Which is really good for something coming to Canada.

i also received my uddercover though i never received a confirmation or anything like that either.  It's not the best quality, but it looks like it should do the job when the time comes.
