Sorry about not updating. Things have been happening quickly on Saturday and from there time seems like a bit of a blurr.
Saturday was crazy. After Saturday's apt, which showed 20 eggs, 10 on each side, I get a call at 3:30pm on Saturday telling me that they are going to trigger me *and* change the triggering med to Lupron b/c my E2 is too high and they are trying to minimize OHSS as much as possible. So we had to make an emergency drive to Rockville (about an hour away through a bad storm and tornado warnings) to pick up the med. Once there I spent about 20 min trying to get in to the building to get it b/c they had locked up. Finally was able to get in after calling the on call person.
DH couldn't do the trigger b/c it was inter-muscular, so we made a deal with a family friend who is a nurse to do it. She triggered me with Lupron on Sat at 10:45 like they wanted. Sunday was a free day of relaxation.
And then Monday rolled around. We had to drive to Rockville in rush hour traffic so we left at about 7:45 am. My retrieval was at 10:45 am and they want you there by 9:15. After I got in and waited for about an hour they took the eggs out. I woke up in severe pain. They gave me two injections for the pain and then told us to get the vicodin prescription filled. For the rest of the day, my new BFF was vicodin. B/C they removed 20 eggs I have some hyper stim going on in my right ovary. So today I am getting re-acquainted with my BFF vicodin. As I try and heal.
At about 9:30 today I got the fert report and 12 eggs fertilized normally while 8 are duds. So we are hoping for good fertilization from those 12 tomorrow in the next call.
As a fun fact, if we do indeed get ku this attempt, then the baby's birthday will be around DH's birthday. I kind of like that idea.
