Especially non-candy ideas? I know M will get a ton of candy from family, so I want to do an egg hunt at home with other little fun things in plastic eggs. What do you put in 'em?
E is two and a few months and she lives putting change in her piggy bank, so we're going to put some coins in the Edda and then at the end she can add them all to the pig.
Small eggs: Stickers, cute socks, hair clips/headbands for girls, temporary tattoos, binky...
Bigger eggs: little people, matchbox cars, bouncy balls, playdoh, felt/play food, cute undies, slinky, army men.
I used to remember getting the 'golden egg' with a movie ticket inside it when I was older. Last year my kids were more into the eggs themselves and didn't care what was inside as Jill said...
What if you made a game of it instead; find an egg and put a clue or activity inside like the title of a song to sing/book to read/find your toes/hug dad... make it like a scavenger hunt?
Oooh! I just had a fun idea! Remember those cheap pink or blue charm bracelets that were popular when we were kids? I have no idea if they still make those (or some cheap, little kid version of a charm bracelet) but how fun would it be to have a little charm in each egg? Maybe that's better for a 6 or 7 year old though. I dunno.
Thanks ladies!! I'll have to hit up Target or something for goodies. I think we're also going to do a few Lego pieces in some of the eggs too, M is way into building dinosaurs out of Legos right now, go figure.
