This is all probably irrational, but with my first pregnancy I had some spotting early on, so I took it easy a lot of the time. I worked full time, but I tried to rest, keep my feet up when I wasn't busy working, etc. This time around, I have a 13 month old and I'm just wondering how in the world I'm going to make it to 40 weeks seeing as all I do is chase him around all day (and still end up carrying him a lot). I'm mostly a SAHM now, so I'm with him all day. I've had a bit of spotting this time around (which I know now is normal), but it still makes me feel like I should be resting on the couch all day. Obviously I can't do that, and I know millions of women are pregnant while juggling other children, I just can't help but worry about #2 (who is only a few weeks along)! Help me feel better...?!
Re: Nervous about being pregnant with a 1 year old...
Yep. And remember, your body is used to all the things you do for and with your 1 year old, so it isn't hurting anything to keep those things up. Nap when you can and ask for help if you need it.

Thanks, this is true and a good reminder!
I agree. The last couple of months are such a blur...but we're making it!
Rest as much as possible.
I found out I was pregnant just days before my daughter's 1st bday.. and I work full time and am home alone with her at night b/c my husband works late hours.
I find that I don't even have time to think about #2 b/c I'm taking care of my DD. It's been a rough winter with lots of sickness.... Now that I'm getting bigger.. I make her walk up stairs as much as she can, and I snuggle with her on my side...It is hard, but like PPs said... you'll get through it.. people do.
Ugh, I know that feeling. I spotted with both pregnancies as well, and it's just horrible. Elmo DVDs were my friend in that first trimester. And third trimester. I found out I was pregnant a week after DS's first birthday, and then started spotting a week after that.
Do you have friends or family that can watch your LO for you from time to time? I made heavy use of my aunt's offers to watch DS. You don't win any medals by doing it all yourself. : )
