Violet! It's beautiful and classic and for crying out loud, there are too many Sophias out there any more! Sophia might make a nice mn. Violet Sophia sounds nice.
I like both quite a bit but I have slight reservations about Violet for two reasons 1. Its gaining in popularity (but Sophia has been steadily popular so its a toss up) 2. As much as I love it, on paper it reminds me of "Violent"
The Journey of a Thousand Miles begins with One Step.
1998 Ovarian Cancer Survivor. 7 Miscarriages: 6w, 13w2d, 4w2d, 7w4d (DD's twin), 5w. Failed Tubal after c/s (!!): 5w2d, 6w4d
Neither are my style but I'd choose Sophia but again that's my personal preference as all I'd ever think of with Violet is a flower, not a person...sorry.

Violet! Sophia is way too popular in my opinion. Although my first thought when I saw the title of this thread was "Ooh, Violet Sophia!"
Obviously I'm biased toward Violet though, as that's the name that DH and I have chosen for our little girl.
Married to my best friend 6/5/10

BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
I think both are beautiful but I prefer Violet. It is our second choice girl name so I might be biased. I also think that Sophia (and Sophie) have become so popular lately and Violet is classic but underused.

IMHO, Sophia is so popular and Violet still reminds me of the bubblegum chewing girl on Willy Wonka. But if I have to choose them Violet
Violet.
Sophia is annoyingly popular.
yes! I think Violet Sophia is lovely.
I like both names though, you can't go wrong with either. Sophia is much more popular, if that is a problem for you.
Violet! Sophia is sooo over used.
