I have the Summer Infant Day & Night video monitor and starting last week it sounds like a helicopter coming through the speaker. I talked with their customer service and they said they'd send me a prepaid envelope, then I can mail the whole thing back to them and once they receive it, they'll mail me a new one. The whole process should take about 2 weeks. We've only been using the monitor since the end of December!
Has anyone else had problems with their monitor? I really don't want to be without a baby monitor for that long!

We have a Summer Infant Slim & Secure digital video monitor, and have had problems with ours. Once it totally just froze up and didn't work in the middle of the night. The light for sound was moving, but there was no sound, so I turned on the video to find it frozen, and I ran to the nursery to find my DD in her crib bawling. After asking on the national board I found that this was not uncommon. One gal equated it to interference with her iPad.
I haven't had any "helicopter" sounds, but it does crackle from time to time. I don't trust my monitor after what happened to me, and now we leave DD's bedroom door open in case if fails again so I can hear her.
