My fun weekend...not.

So DH and I have been looking forward to having an evening out on Saturday for months.   DH's stepbrother was getting married so I asked my brother months ago if he would come over and babysit since no kids were allowed at the wedding.  My brother said sure.

Well, he shows up right on time, 5pm.....DRUNK OFF HIS A$$!!!!   Apparently he had a party going on at his house for the UT vs OU game, which was still going on.  Then he gets mad at me for calling him out for showing up wasted.  He said he'd stopped drinking at 3pm and did I really expect him to stay sober all day during the biggest game of the year?  Thank God DH had already left to help set up or I'm sure he would have killed my brother. 

Needless to say I kicked him out and my sister came and picked DS up so I could go to the wedding for a little bit.  I had to be home by 8pm since she had plans and I was just grateful that she was willing to pick him up and drop him off. 

So much for our big night out.

How old is he?

He's almost 26 and no raincheck.  I won't be asking him to babysit ever again if he thinks it's acceptable to babysit after he'd been drinking.  And even if he had stopped drinking a few hours before, he was still in no condition to keep up with an active toddler.  He said I was just an overprotective mom because he'd been watching his 2 yo all day (it's his gf's 2 yo from a previous relationship).  Yet he didn't stop to think that his girlfriend doesn't drink so there was a responsible adult watching him all day. 

My parents are moving here in 3 weeks so we'll have very responsible babysitters from now on!!!  Yeah for grandparents!
