Girl clothes are cute, but

what a PITA!  I never thought I'd have to iron baby clothes.

All these ruffles and flutter sleeves are adorable, but one wash and they're all wrinkled and shriveled.  Ugh.

H is going to be less than impressed when DD's stuff starts popping up in the iron pile.

Trust me...i know ALL about the wrinkled ruffles!  It is the main reason the girls laundry is always a day or so behind Ls.  I HATE matching all the little outfits and then having to iron them.  ugh!

But yes...they are so cute and I love having girly girls who adore dressing "pretty" all the time.  Esp Kay who swears she has to wear a dress every day.  :)

  • Some things can be caught if they are hung up immediately and will kind of fall into place. It makes ironing a little easier

I'm sure the fact that clothes get thrown in laundry baskets for a few days until I can be bothered to fold them doesn't help.  :/

I totally have that problem too. Maybe do just a load of her dresses?

  • For the things that are like that (ruffled skirts, tshirts with appliques that curl up, etc.)  I lay them flat to dry.  A little tug/smoothing with my hand while it's still wet, and it dries flat.  No ironing needed.  (I have my ironing  board set up near the washer...I hardly ever iron, I use it for "drying flat"! )
  • Just another reason I love being a mom of boys and an auntie to twin girls. I get all the fun of shopping for adorable girly clothes with none of that hassle. Woohoo!
  • I dry everything on delicate. That seems to help alot.

Same here. It's a good thing I'm not into frills or lace or anything else that needs ironing.
