I'm not doing a ham this year. We are thinking about grilling some meat, doing deviled eggs, some kind of hashbrown casserole, a vegetable, bread, and dessert...maybe a salad.

We usually have ham, Easter kielbasa, deviled eggs, cheesy potatoes, german potato salad, crunchy salad, veggie platter, Pasca (sp?) bread, and some sort of dessert.
Thanks for reminding me that I need to pick up a couple of pounds of kielbasa to take to my uncle's. I'm assuming that they are going with the traditional ham, potato casserole, veggies, etc.
If you're referring to the Russian Easter bread, it's called kulich (koo-leech) and the sweetened farmer's cheese that goes with it is called paska (pah-ska). Friday is kulich-making night at my uncle's place. DS is old enough to actually 'help' this year. I've been making it with my mom since I was 4.
AKA KnittyB*tch DS - December 2006 DD - December 2008
Typical family menu for my family: Baked brie w/ peaches, strawberry/goatcheese salad, honeybaked ham, pineapple casserole, creamy onions, brown sugar carrots, scalloped potatoes, fruit braid.
Typical family menu for DH's family: kibbeh & kibbeh nyi, grape leaves, rice, baba, mujadara (sp?), mint dressing.
I love me some lebanese food, but I'm happy to be spending the holiday with my family this year!!
