Amox = restless?

Has anyone ever noticed that their baby was more restless, agitated, and irritable when taking amoxicillin?  A woke up three times last night and was awake each time for an hour to two hours... so, she didn't get much sleep.  She was agitated- hitting herself in the face with her fist, kicking, etc.  It was as if she'd had coffee or something.  This behavior is not common for her.

She has been taking amox for 3 days for an ear infection.  I've also been giving her tylenol and numbing drops for her ear.  Any thoughts?

    I'm on antibiotics for the second time in as many months for strep. And, yes, it makes me restless. I have to take a sleeping pill at night or else I'm up until around 4 am.

    INTERESTING.  Ok, thanks.  I called her pedi and we are going in tomorrow to see if the EI is gone.  Hopefully if it is we can discontinue the medi.  Thanks, MC.

    I noticed this when S got his first EI a few months back- it took him for.ev.er to go down for naps.
