Anyone use these and love/hate them? I just saw them at BRU and can't decide whether this is an 'extra' or a nice to have. Do babies like sleeping in these? I like the idea of not kicking covers around all night when the baby gets older.
TIA!

I use them all the time and love them. Blankets are a SIDS risk and it's recommended that they not be used until after 1 year. I did start giving DS a small fleece blankie at 8 months because it helps him fall asleep but I've always used sleep sacks to keep him warm at night. At first we used the Carter's sleep sacks that are 0-9 months and when he outgrew those, we switched to the sleeveless, fleece, Halo sleep sacks.
I know that at 10 months the biggest risk of SIDS has passed, but I know someone who lost their baby to SIDS so I tend to be more cautious about it. Plus he would probably just kick the covers off like you said.

DD is just outgrowing her swaddle blankets now, so we are switching over to sleep sacks. We especially like the Halo ones that have a velcro swaddling mechanism attached. She can't escape out of them
We now use the sleeveless ones w/ DD. Sooooooooooooooo useful! DD was very late to lose her swaddle - we used the miracle blanket until she was almost 5 months old. Then we used the magic sleep suit for about a month before the sleep sack was important.
We have a lightweight halo one, and we have a fleece heavier one which we actually use most of the time, currently. DD sleeps great with them. The hardest adjustment for me was the fact she wanted to sleep on her tummy in it!

I bought the Summer Infant leopard swaddle blanket and HATE IT. I think I am actually going to take it back and see if I can get a refund. Its pretty pointless because it does nothing to keep DD warm, even if she is in a footed sleeper.
I recently bought the Halo fleece sleepsack and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. DD loves it too. If she is not completely asleep when I place her in it, she will fuss when I start to wrap her up but it makes her feel safe and secure and she falls asleep quickly. She also sleeps a lot longer in it than when I swaddle her in a blanket. She always manages to wiggle out of blankets and when her arms are free she wakes easier.

From day 1 - literally, in the hospital, DD hated being swaddled and hated having her hands inside a swaddle. We used sleep sacks as soon as we needed a blanket for more warmth. She was much happier in them! And at 25 months, she is now in her crib in pjs and a sleep sack. I do buy her larger than her size - she is in large but according to the tag, fit medium. but larger she has more room and can walk. Oh and we do the fleecy one in the colder months and then light one in tne warmer ones (with the a/c on) I do cover her with a blanket when I put her down and again when I check on her before we go to bed, but she moves too much for them to stay on. I love them and cannot say enough great things about them!

We used them - we had given him a knit blanket in the beginning, since he liked to rub it on his face while feeding, it was the only way we could get him in his crib - until he started pulling it up over his face to sleep. Then we switched to sleep sacks. I really liked the carter's long sleeve ones in the fall and winter, I could just put him in a onesie and one of those.

We've used the Halo Sleepsacks from day one, they've been a "must" fur us. LO didn't like to be swaddled.
