PSA: BRU/TRU class action lawsuit

It looks like if you bought certain brands of products (Britax car seat, Baby Bjorn Carrier, Maclaren stroller, Medela Pump in Style breast pump, Peg Perego stroller, high chair, or car seat or Kids Line bedding) then you may be eligible for $$. 

But you have to submit proof.

It goes back 11 years. Who keeps receipts that long??? I bought a Medela Pump in Style there way back in 2006, but I've moved twice since then and likely tossed the receipt shortly after I bought it because they told me that once it's been used, a breast pump can't be returned.

Exactly. On top ot that, why would I keep the receipt past the manufacturer's warranty date which is usually 90 days to a year?

Buuuuuuuuut.  I did read the claim form and it says that you can use a credit card statement or BRU/TRU statement (I guess as long as it itemizes the item & what you paid for it).  If you are diligent about using your BRU/TRU rewards card, you can access your purchase history online.  It's worth a shot....

I actually did have all my receipts from when i purchased those things 3 years ago, but all the ink had rubbed off so you couldn't even read them.

Luckily I had used my BRU rewards card so i could pull up my statement on their website showing the purchases. (i even went and added things that were bought off my registry to my rewards account.) nerdy, i know.

I filled out that form, but now i have no idea what i did with it. so thanks for the reminder that i need to find it and send it in!

This may be one time I'm thankful that DH is anal about receipts.  I think we had to make an electronic copy of our Medela receipt to get partial reimbursement through his insurance, so I may have lucked out!
