How long are the naps? two hour nap in morning, 45min-hour nap late afternoon
What is your LO's longest "awake" stretch? about 5 hours
If they take a third catnap in the evening does it completely throw off bedtime? no, sometimes he acts like he needs one, and I let him. He still goes down great. If i dont let him nap, he just gets overtired and turns into a little monster!
Nap lengths vary. They are usually around 1 1/2 hours each, but sometimes the morning nap is up to 3 hours. Just depnds on the day.
Since we dropped the 3rd nap, he goes the longest usually after his second nap and before bed. It's around 4 hours, also depending on the day.
We gave up the 3rd nap because it was throwing everything off, especially his bedtime. I would rather "push through" for an hour if need be during the transition than push back bedtime. I like my kids in bed early so I can have a little down time
She typically takes two 1 1/2 to 2 hr naps daily. It seems on the days she takes a third "catnap" she has a very hard time winding down for bedtime.
Her longest awake stretch is sometimes 5 hours!! I was under the impression that was crazy long for her age...which is why I am always wondering if I should push for a third short nap.
Tonight she had a 10 minute catnap in the car because we were running errands and she was totally boycotting bedtime

How long are the naps? anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours...maybe longer sometimes.
What is your LO's longest "awake" stretch? Tonight apparently. She woke up at like 2:30 or so from her afternoon nap and didn't go to sleep until about 8 p.m.
If they take a third catnap in the evening does it completely throw off bedtime? She does on occasion but I only let her catnap for like 5-10 minutes. She will usually go down a little bit later but not much and there's usually no problems.
He takes a nap around 11 for anywhere from an hour to two hours. There is occasionally a third hour if he happened to get up extra early that morning. Second nap is around 330 and lasts 1.5 to 3 hours depending on his first nap.
He will stay awake sometimes up to 6 hours. It drives me crazy. He only does that when he won't nap and doesn't feel good though.
Um, if he only sleeps like an hour on his second nap and took a really short first one... Then yes, he will take a short 3rd nap and it doesn't ALWAYS throw it off. It's kind of a "per case" situation.
On a good day, his first nap is 1.5-2 hours and his second is 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
The longest awake stretch ever has been 5 hours, but that last 45 minutes is not fun. Usually, it works out so that his longest awake stretch is closer to 4 hours.
Just this past week, he only had a 30 minute nap in the afternoon and was a bear, so my husband decided to put him down for a "short nap" about an hour before his usual bedtime. I woke him up 45 minutes later intending to give him his last bottle and put him back down. He was up for another 3 hours.
I wouldn't have woken him, except that he hadn't finished an earlier bottle, so he'd only had 13 oz. for that day.
But I don't think he'll be taking any more 3rd naps if we can help it.

Seth turned 8 months today.
