get your LO to practice on a sippy cup or straw?? Any successful stories out there? DS has been EBF because he refused to take a bottle since 6 weeks old. He kind of hates the cup too but not as much as the bottle. TIA!
I use a playtex sippy with the rubber valve taken out. I put cold water in it for practice. The water pours out, but it's getting him used to the idea. The cold water is very interesting to him, so he really likes to drink it as play. I put about 3 ounces in the cup, and there's usually 2 ounces left when we're done. I think half of the other ounce might end up in his mouth; the rest goes everywhere.
I got one of the nuby sippy cups, that has the soft, silicone top, and I had her sitting in my lap while I pretended to drink out of it. As soon as she thought I was drinking out of it, she wanted it!

This has worked well for us too. Noah always grabs for our drink when he's in our lap, so I give him his and he then shows interest. The gummy spout helps too because he likes to chew on it and the drink comes out that way. Once it comes out, he starts sucking on it a little.

Taking the valve out was the best advice I got.
We actually let him take sips of water from our cups, from there he was extremely enthusiastic about any sort of sippy cup
The nuby seems to work the best, though we have a few we rotate

It's trial and error at this point.
