today how many of us have had that happen with a Nestie? It's happened to me 3 times..once someone recognized me and twice I've recognized others.

Would you approach someone if you suspected you knew them from this board?

I've had someone I know via the nest/knot approach me, but it was someone from my local. It was cool!

And yes, I would. Unless it was someone crazy...lol!

I am NOT shy so I would totally approach someone. They would probably think I was the crazy one, LOL!

I saw someone who's daughter looked familiar and I later realized it was from here. I didn't say anything until a year or so later until just recently when she was talking about some local place.

I'm not sure what I would do if I recognized a nestie. I bet it would depend on my mood, my outfit and my hair that day, as well as the nestie being spotted!

Once - Sulla recognized me in BRU but didn't tell me about it until later on our local board.

I've met plenty of local girls from my wedding & ttc days on purpose, but that was the only accidental recognition one.

Hasn't ever happened to me, but I would definitely approach someone if I was SURE it was them.

What did happen to Mattslady? She was fun and kept things interesting around here.

I've had a couple people recognize me. A nestie I never see here anymore lived down the street from me in the DC area (but she paged me here to ask if it had been me; she didn't approach me at the restaurant) and another DC area nestie that was never a big fan of mine made some comment here about having seen me in Barnes & Noble there at some point, but she didn't approach me.

I'm glad you came up and said "hi!" I don't know if I would have the guts to do that, but I'm glad you did! :-)

Its so funny that you posted this. Every time I am at the mall or the grocery store and I see a mom with her kids I always wonder if they are involved with this board, and I get tempted to go up and ask them, but stop myself because I dont want someone thinking I am nuts.

I was at the mall and I saw Ellenaxo's DD Hannah and I guess her DH. I said nothing because how weirded would her husband be by some crazy stalker who recognized his kid. And I doubt she would know me if she had been there-- I've been on this board forever but no one "knows" me. I hardly post. I may have said something if it had been her. I was literally standing next to them for 3-5 minutes waiting for the elevator.
