Metro Newbie question

Hi Everyone,

I'm sure this has been asked before, so sorry for any redundancy. Tomorrow I am going on a field trip with my 10 yr old's class to the Smithsonian. We are taking the Metro and this will be our first time on the Metro,, as we moved to the WV/VA area last year from FL.

My question is.. how difficult is it to get a stroller on and off of the Metro? I'm having to bring my 2 yr old along and there is no way I'm chasing/carrying her all over.  It's not an umbrella, but not as big as the travel system ones, either.

We are boarding at the Vienna and taking the Orange Line.

Thanks!

Re: Metro Newbie question

  • It's not bad, especially on a Saturday when ridership is lighter.  It's only difficult when the elevators are out of service.  You can go on the wmata page tonight and check if they've posted any outages at stations you will likely be going to.
