Girdle/Belly Bandit thing - is this the same?

At Wal-Mart today I was picking up a 'birthing ball' and I saw that they had some tummy wraps made by Gold's Gym: clicky to description

They were only $5-$10 and I was wondering if it was the same sort of thing?  WDYT?

that's a gimmic weight loss product to just make your midsection sweat while working out

according to the reviews it doesn't help shrink or flatten like postpartum belts do

I figured it was too good to be true.  I've considered getting a belly bandit of some sort but they're so expensive!!
