Labor buddies?

Does our board have labor buddies set up? Lurking on the other boards it seems like they have set up labor buddies to notify the board when they are in labor. I wasn't sure if I just missed it on here...

Yep, a lot of other boards to have LBs that notify the board of when mom's are in labor etc. I love that system!

I think it's a great idea! Then again, I won't lie... I'll probably be posting on FB (and thus on the June Mom's FB page) as soon as all our families have been notified... lol

I'm thinking that we pick 2 girls with the same due date as us and team up. That way your LB wouldn't be unavailable.  What's some other opinions?

I think the other boards had beginning of the month girls paired with later in the month girls so that its less likely for both to go into labor at the same time... but, definitely doesn't have to be that way!

I'm up for it - not sure exactly how we pair everyone up though. Any ideas?

this is a great idea! I def think that people with further apart dates should be buddies - so that there is less of a chance that people are in labor at the same time? Maybe a buddy system of 3???

I really think this is a good idea...especially once we get into the month of June, it would be nice to know what's going on with everyone.

I second the early june/late june buddying, to prevent the issue of you and your buddy or buddies going into labour at the same time!

 I know for sure that I'll be updating the FB June mom's page from my phone, just like I'll be using FB to update some friends who don't have phones.

Thats generally how it works, and also how I met one of my best friends here, she was my LB the last time around. Funny story, we picked each other and she was 3.5 weeks ahead of me, and we were being discharged from the hospital the day she was admitted (my kid had his own agenda) 

ETA: there is usually one person that keeps a list of every one who wants to participate, then pairs up everyone based on EDDs. you can certainly request a certain person though.
