F/U to Tubes

First of all, thank you to all of you that replied to my tubes post. All of your insights and advice really helped.

Last Friday, I woke Rachel up at 5:15am for a bottle and she was in a great mood. We played in the morning and then left for the hospital.  She took a little snooze in the car for about 20 minutes on our way there. She had fun checking out the fish in the tank in the outpatient surgery waiting area. Then we went back to the pre-op area got her into her little hospital gown. She had fun checking everything out and bouncing her butt up and down in the air adjusted mattress.  They had a lady in the corner playing the harp which was soothing and Rachel found the harp fascinating.

Right around her surgery time she was starting to get antsy because she was hungry and tired. She snuggled up against me and was trying to get comfortable to take a nap and the OR nurse came over and said it was time.

I went into the operating room and held her while they put her under. Then I went out to the waiting room with DH and FIL. I swear the doctor was out telling us she was in recovery 5 or 6 minutes later.  I went back and she was crying, I gave her a bottle, and she still wanted more. She ate about 10 oz.  She was still fussing so I got her dressed asap and we left.  As soon as I stood up with her and started walking the fussing stopped.  She slept in the car on the way home and was back to herself.

Again, thanks for all of the advice!
