TTC after 35

GTKU: Spring Time

Good Morning Ladies!  It's Friday... everyone in the office is having a good time in Las Vegas and I am stuck here and I'm not working!  HAHA  So, I'm putting up this post to try to get to know some of you ladies a little better.

Favorite Flower?

Favorite Spring Time Activity?

Favorite Guilty Pleasure?

And since we're all here for one reason... how are you feeling about this cycle?

Re: GTKU: Spring Time

  • My favorite flower is the orchid.  I love its soft colors and delightful scent.

My favorite spring time activity right now is performing at the local renaissance festival (www.srfestival.com for anyone curious).  My husband and I perform as the king and queen of Jesters

Right now my favorite guilty pleasure is chocolate chip heath bar cookies.  They are kinda like lay's potato chips... you can't have just one.  But, since I'm on a diet, I'm really trying to just have one but it was really hard to do while AF was in town.

I'm excited to get started on this cycle.  Today is CD6 and I'm anxious to start OPK'ing on Tuesday.  This is our 2nd cycle TTC but this will be my first cycle of actually using the OPKs so I'm curious to see how it all turns out.

Favorite Flower? Tulips are my favorite.  I have a little flower bed of them that have been starting to come up finally.  I'll probably see them in the next week or so if we can keep the warmer weather around.

Favorite Spring Time Activity? Sitting outside in the sun reading.

Favorite Guilty Pleasure? The more chocolate the better.

And since we're all here for one reason... how are you feeling about this cycle? I was feeling pretty optimistic until this morning.  I had a burst of bright red and now nothing but some cramping.  Don't have beta scheduled until Monday so not really sure how to feel right now.

  • Favorite Flower? Peonies.  I had gorgeous white ones at my wedding but I LOVE the fluffy pink ones too. I can only get them in June locally so I am looking forward to them!

Favorite Spring Time Activity? sitting outside on my deck with wine (I know, not this year...maybe a glass?)

Favorite Guilty Pleasure? McDonalds french fries!

And since we're all here for one reason... how are you feeling about this cycle? Hmm.  I actually feel OK. Not that I think this cycle will be successful but I think I can get 100% insurance coverage for IVF under DH's policy. I was researching stuff last night and it seems like they will cover me as long as my CD3 FSH is under 15. I was previously told by someone at the doctors office that the threshold was only 10.9.  It looks to me like that person was wrong. I can emotionally/physically handle multiple IVF's(if needed) if I can get it paid for!!

  • Favorite Flower? Hydrangeas. Favorite Spring Time Activity? Spending time on the deck with my two dogs.Favorite Guilty Pleasure? Doughnuts. With sprinkles of course. And since we're all here for one reason... how are you feeling about this cycle? Anxious. In my 2ww, but earl on (5 dpo). It's my first cycle TTC since my mc.
  • Favorite Flower?  Peonies and hydrangeas - love big happy faced flowers

Favorite Spring Time Activity?  Enjoying some cooler weather before the summer heat wave

Favorite Guilty Pleasure?  Trashy celebrity magazines.  I feel bad for enjoying such voyeurism, but it just relaxes me to mindlessly read such gossip.  I especially love that I get them on my Nook color so I don't have to buy them in a store or have them delivered.  I hate getting magazines in hard copy now because the recycling in my area is so poor.

And since we're all here for one reason... how are you feeling about this cycle?  I'm feeling pessimistic unfortunately.  I missed my O via testing and our timing wasn't the best.  I'm usually a very optimistic person and this is starting to wear me out.  There's still a spark of hope since I'm at CD24.  I guess I'll find out after this weekend.

  • Good MORNING!   Happy Friday, ladies.

It's hard to pick one favorite flower but I guess it would be hydrangeas.

My favorite spring time activity is gardening and hanging out in my awesome backyard.

    My Guilty pleasure is chocolate.

We are for sure out this cycle since my husband was home like one day all month.  Day one should start today.  But I'm feeling incredible.  We leave for Costa Rica in a week and a half,  I've been going to yoga 4 days a week and had acupuncture this week.  I've  been taking evening primrose oil, wheat grass and eating so healthy, I feel A-MAZ-ING.  You could tell me the end of the world was tomorrow and I would barely care.

  • Favorite Flower? Tulips

Favorite Spring Time Activity? Eating outside; my town has a ton of restaurants with outdoor seating in nice weather, I love sitting out there and people watching after being cooped inside all winter.

Favorite Guilty Pleasure? Ice cream, please!

And since we're all here for one reason... how are you feeling about this cycle This cycle is #13, and the last one where we're trying on our own before I go on BCPs for IVF.  I had my green tea/EPO/Pom juice pre-O, I'm having my nightly pineapple core smoothie now post-O, doing acupuncture, and we timed things right. I know it's still a long shot with my DH's issues, but at least if I don't get KU I'll move on to IVF knowing we tried everything we could.

Favorite Spring Time Activity?  I live in FL so we're ALWAYS at the beach, love it there!

Favorite Guilty Pleasure?  reality tv sucks me in, I know I shouldn't, but I can't. stop. watching.

And since we're all here for one reason... how are you feeling about this cycle?  I think this is our last cycle TTC, I'm in the 2ww and DPO9 so if it happens I'll be ecstatic, if it doesn't, I've prayed for peace about it and I think I'm almost there.

  • Favorite Flower? Tulip

Favorite Spring Time Activity? Being able to have the windows open.

  • Favorite Flower? Too many to choose! I looove flowers. Daffodils, tulips, hyacinth for their smell, peonies (I had white peonies in my bridal bouquet and all the bridesmaids had light and dark pink peonies for their bouquets), zinnias, hydrageas. Haha, I could go on and on.

Favorite Spring Time Activity? Running outside in the warmer weather!

Favorite Guilty Pleasure? Chocolate chip cookies. Really I have the most amazing recipe but I can't make them because I just can't stop eating them.

And since we're all here for one reason... how are you feeling about this cycle? Really want to get my first period after my m/c becuase I know its a healthy step in the healing process, and we want to start trying again. Taking a cycle off is great for emotionally healing but my impatience (and my clock) is ticking!
