Pampers users please come in

What's the difference between the cruisers and the regular baby dry? (I'm looking at size 3). The cruisers are $.04/diaper more on Amazon. Are they better? What do you use?

Don't cruisers have dry max and baby dry you can get without dry max? or something?

I don't know, I only use them at night.

  • I've noticed the cruisers are more expensive too!  I use the baby dry & have never had very few leaks.  BTW www.diapers.com is offering 20% off diapers right now.  And you get free shipping with orders over $49!

  • We also have only used Baby Day. I noticed when we got up in size that they had cruisers too. I don't know the difference but to me, why change it if it ain't broke ya know? We love baby dry and have never had leaks or problems with them so we will just stay with those.

I think the Cruisers are just marketed for babies that are starting to move more and maybe they offer a little bit more flexibility and better protection if the kid is gonna move around a lot. But that's just a markering ploy. Especially since they cost more.

  • Pampers has two main lines

    Basic and "Premium"

Basic = Baby Dry (Standard, basic, solid, overall great diaper imo)

"Premium" = Swaddlers size newborn, 1, 2 and 3 and then Cruisers size 3, 4, 5 and up (softer, more contoured, stretchy diaper)

Some have strong preference for one over the other.  I like them both.  I bought swaddlers mainly when DD was younger.  Now I buy Baby Dry or Cruiser (depending on sales, coupons etc.)

I've also found (and maybe it's the stretch that Laura mentioned) that Swaddlers and Cruisers are bigger than Baby Dry.  DD doesn't seem to fit into her size 3 BDs anymore, but she's got plenty of room in her Swaddlers 3s.

  • We are trying to get through our Baby Dry as quickly as possible because we hate them.   We've always used Pampers Swaddlers, but were given a couple of big boxes of Baby Dry as gifts and though, meh, why not?  Diapers are diapers, right?

    Wrong.

For three nights in a row, G soaked through the Baby Dry.  If you compare a size 3 in Baby Dry to a size 3 in Swaddlers, you'll see the Baby Dry is shorter and thinner.

Since the Swaddlers are more expensive, I've signed up for the Amazon Moms program.
