WDYT of Wesley (boy)?

What is your impression of this name?  too "feminine" for a boy's name these days or too ...???  I like it but i need to hear others' opinions of it.

I like it but could never use it myself. I had a crush on a Wesley in the 6th grade- I was a complete nerd and he was a cool bad@$$. He made fun of me and laughed at me right to my face, etc. was so mean. So, I like the name but couldn't ever use it myself.

Another note is it reminds me of The Princess Bride, except I think his name was actually Westley.

Love it. Unfortunately, it was my HS BF's name. I liked it before I met him, though, so my positive feel for it isn't related only to him.

That Wesley sounds like a punk and a half.  Your 2nd comment makes me wonder though, is the standard spelling Wesley or Westley?  I have no real attachment/ distaste for either.

LOVE it!!  And it's my grandpa's middle name so DH and I will definitely be using it.  I don't think it's too feminine, but if you don't mind boys names for girls it wouldn't be bad on a girl either!

I like the name. Have known a couple Wesley's both who have been "bad boys" but good name! It is not feminine at all.

Love it! That is what we are naming our LO as well. The only negative thing I hear about this name is on these boards and sometimes people think it sounds "country." not a big deal to me because I don't agree with that...great name!

I used to really like it.  Princess Bride is my favorite movie.  Then I worked with a Wes that was a TOTAL jerk.  Kinda soured me on it.

Haha, that's why this name is on my list! I love the name Wesley (I want to spell it the Princess Bride way, though--Westley)
