Pain from Lap or UTI?

I'm having shooting pains coming from the vag area shooting up toward my stomach.  I have had a few similar pains when going potty.  I did have a catheter with my lap on Monday. 

I've never had a UTI so I don't know what the symptoms are.  Could it just be from the lap and the catheter?  Thanks

    I got a UTI from my hysteroscopy. My dr said it's semi-common because of all the irritation/jostling/etc going on down there.

    If it's a burning sensation, that's a UTI.

    That was the pain I had after my lap.  I thought it was the catheter. I hope you feel better.

    I had the same pain.

    After 3 years of infertility we were blessed with twin girls through private infant adoption.
