Lower Back pain Q

I'm having some lower back pain and some mild cramping. Nothing timeable, just uncomfy. I haven't had any lower back pain this pregnancy yet. Also nausea and a bit of light headed feeling.

I'm wondering if i should be concerned. I've also been feeling like lately my underwear is always damp and i have no idea if this is normal leakage or if i should be worried about fluid levels. With DD at 36 weeks i had low fluids which lead to her being born at 37 weeks.

Thanks.

Re: Lower Back pain Q

  • I just took my first childbirth course, and the nurse teaching it told us a story about a friend who had back pain, and went into L&D and they checked her, and it was actually contractions. I would definitely call my OB. While you are waiting for a call back, drink some water and lay on your side. Hope all goes well.

  • I have had similar symptoms and mentioned it today during my appointment.  The nurse said that if there is any regularity in the cramps (ex: every 20 minutes) then to definitely call.  However, mine have no rhythm - just an ache like menstrual cramps both in the lower abdomen and lower back.

As for fluids, all I can say is that my fluid level was checked today and was fine...yet I feel like I'm ALWAYS damp.

Just wanted to share.  But, you should call if you're worried to set your mind at ease.
