This must be a silly question...but besides the going home outfit for the girls..do we bring more clothes for each day? I'm betting the hospital doesn't have any they put them in right? Just diaper and blanket?
Most hospitals have white shirts they can wear. Some people bring their own anyway. We used the hospital shirts and kept them wrapped in blankets.
This is what we did and the t-shirts and blankets worked fine for us. We had a very short stay in the NICU but I saw a few moms who were there a bit longer had brought in changes of clothes.
My hospital provided shirts, hats, blankets, diapers and wipes. If they spit up or had an accident, I just asked the nurse for some fresh shirts/blankets. I had a nice little stash of both in my room, just in case. The only clothing I brought from home was their coming home outfits.

I have absolutely no experience with this since I have no children on earth yet, lol, but at my baby care class the other day that was put on through my hospital they said that they put the babies in white shirts and diapers while they are there.

no need, let the hospital do the laundry and keep yours clean while you can. They will give them shirts to wear and then they were always wrapped in blankets anyways.

We didn't bring anything. We kept them in their hospital clothes until the day they came home. It was just easier that way. DD went to the NICU so clothing wasn't even an option until a week later.

My hospital had the white shirts and they used them as shirts and pants (lol weird right?). We took one set of cute onesies to put them in while we were there, just for fun, and the coming home outfit.

The hospital will supply you with white T's. I always took my own clothes for the babies (come on, they outgrow them so quickly anyway). We're done having babies, but if we did have more I think I'd just skip it.
You can't really plan for this, but my bebes were small (5lbs2oz and 4lbs7oz) and bc there was no NICU at the hospital, they didn't have any teeny clothes. Everything was huge on them. Someone went out and got us some preemie outfits for them to wear. It wasn't essential, but it was nice to have them in something that fit. You could buy a couple sleepers in preemie and newborn sizes just to have, maybe.
