f/u SDI debit card

So my debit card came in yesterday's mail. I found that once you activate the card online, you can assign a bank account to your profile and transfer part or all of the funds from the card into a savings or checking account. It'll take up to 2 days for the transfer to go through, but it is doable.

Thanks for posting...that's helpful since I'd prefer the money in my checking acct - and nice that it can be done online.

  • Thanks for the info!  I'm so used to checks from SDI that a debit card seems so weird.
  • Also in most cases you can take the card to your bank and do a cash advance off it for the exact amount and then deposit it into your account. I do this many times a day for customers.

  • Good to know ~ thanks!! This makes me feel better... I was worried about the hassle of the debit card and juggling a newborn :)
