Play yard?

DD #2 is a full-fledged trouble maker. :-)

I think I need to invest in a play yard. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd like to have something that can be used outside as well.

Thanks!

ETA: I'm looking for the kind that fits together, not the pack n' play type.

  • We used this gate for about a year..  (crawling - ~16-18 mos)

It's nice because it can be fit together, but it can also block off areas (eg, when dh did a project in our kitchen, which is kind of open, we used it as our gate.

  • We have this that we used a lot when the boys were younger.  It worked nicely around our Christmas tree as well.  The plastic can be a little hard to work with.  If I would have thought it through I probably would have gone with what kel has.  Not that ours is bad, but having the gate to go in and out of would have been a nice thing to have.

  • I wanted to add that we looked at the one identicaltwins has, but we opted for the nicer one.  One, we knew B wouldn't be able to climb it (nothing to grasp) and that it would give us a lot of options (gate off fireplace or TV if necessary...)

So for us, the added investment was worth it.  We did wait however until BRU had a coupon for babygates/sale or something (don't remember the specifics- it was 2 years ago!)
