Anyone ever have an injection of Methodextrate??

If so.....what was this like for you? How long were you instructed to wait until trying again?? Thanks so much!

I just got one today for my ectopic. Physical pain was minimal (emotional pain was/is a different story). Dr told us to wait 3 months. So sorry you have to get the shot.

My experience was the same... the shot was like any other shot... i had a slight burning sensation after... never experienced any cramping or anything... passed some blood clots within two days... and i had bleeding and spotting for a little over a month after...

I had it in February. I bled or spotted every day for almost 3 weeks after ward. It took 4 weeks for my beta to hit 0. My first period arrived 38 days after the injection.

My doctor told me to wait a minimum of 3 months to try again. We are waiting 6.

I had one 4 weeks ago and had minimal bleeding off/on for 1 week. I also had some cramping for a couple weeks. However, the injection didn't work for me and I had an ectopic rupture last week. I posted above. Sorry you are going through this and hope you will be doing better (physically) very soon.

I was told I had to wait until my HCG levels were at 0 and then we would do a test to see if my tubes were blocked (stave IV endo) to make sure I wouldn't have an ectopic. So anyways, I was told we would have to wait about 3 months, but I could also be a different story. GL!
