Order of teeth, molars before others?

Zac has had his 4 front teeth on top and on bottom (8 total). This last week his back 2 molars on both the top and bottom have fully cut through, with the teeth inbetween those and the front ones not yet making an appearance.

Should I be concerned?

    I'll be interested to see the responses to this. Jonah only has four on top, two on bottom, and no molars or other ones coming through. I feel like it's been forever since he had a tooth pop through! By the way, I love your new picture! Zac has such beautiful eyes!

    Fin got 8 in front (4 top and 4 bottom), and is now working on two molars on the top. He was starting to get them in at our one year appointment and dr. wetzler didn't seem concerned. I *think* the eye teeth don't usually come in until later.

    I actually asked Tyler's pedi about this at his 18 month visit a couple weeks ago.  He has the same 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on bottom, and all 4 molars are starting to break through.  I thought that was unusual, but she said it's actually typical.  Eyeteeth/canines usually come in later.  No cause for alarm.

    The same thing happened to K - she got the bottom 2 front teeth, then the top 4 front teeth, then all 4 of her first molars.  The pediatrician seemed surprised, but I'm guessing it's pretty common.

    Charlie was the same way, too. I thought the eye teeth came later.

    My daughter is 2 years old and she is in the same boat. She has her first set of molars but is missing the tooth next to them.  Her pedi didn't seem concerned. Her teeth are just coming in slower than the average kid.  My teeth came in really slow too when I was a baby.

    Same thing with my son. He has 4 teeth on bottom and 4 on top. He  now has two molars on the bottom, and slowly working on the top two. His pedi said it's pretty normal.  

    DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.
