Nolan.  DH is set that this will be LO's name (it's a boy) and won't even discuss anything else.  I like but don't love it and am trying really hard to get on board since he has been calling him that since we found out.

FWIW, he wanted an Irish name since our last name is Irish and this is the one he loves.

I actually love it, it was on our list if this one was a boy. It was one of the only we could agree on.

I liked it for our ds.  Then my mom was all like you know how many times you are going to say "No, Nolan!" When he is a toddler.  We didnt end up going with it, but I still like it

If #2 is a boy we're either going with Nolan or Nathan (Nate).  We have an Irish last name too.  I think its a great name!

I worked at a daycare a few years ago, and we had a baby there named Nolan.  He was adorable, and while at first I wasn't sure about his name, I now LOVE it!

I like it! It's not too overused, but it's not ridiculously uncommon that no one has ever heard of it.

I like Nolan a lot, it's a nice name that ages well.  But, if you aren't feeling it, despite how much your husband loves it, then I think you need to keep looking.  Have you considered:

It's okay. Not really my style, and I could never use it, but that's mostly because it was the last name of one of my best friend's growing up.

DS is Nolan - so I LOVE it.  To be honest I am really struggling with coming up with a name for DS # 2 that I love as much.  Also, we never had a problem with "No, Nolan".  I don't get what the big deal is with that....  I feel for you though - I am very glad my husband doesn't have strong opinions on names.  He actually originally did not like Nolan but once he read through a name book he agreed it was awesome.  Good luck!

I like it a lot!! My DH is the same way with Irish names; DS is Connor and our tentative favorite for phantom DS #2 is Declan.

I think you should have a say in the name. As for the name itself, I love it. It is classic but not overused. It would be near the top of my list if I did not already have a cousin named Nolan, and one to handle is enough for me.

DD is Lila.  I don't mind too much that DH is insisting since I pretty much told him what DD's name was going to be and he didn't argue with me.

And to the person who has a Nolan Reid, I am actually pushing for Reid as a middle name.  I was pushing for Reid as a first name but that obviously didn't work out.
