Hi everyone.

I just went to the bathroom and noticed some brown spots on my underwear.

Even when I wipe, its there.  But its watery.  Not the consistency of blood.

I am 31 weeks prego.

 Has anyone else had this?

It's old blood, so could be from sexy time, or something irritating your cervix.

 

Either way, I would call your doctor and explain it to them.

Brown usually means old blood. Could just be a little bit of spotting. Have you had sex lately? Or internal exam? These things can irritate your cervix which can cause some spotting. It's fine. I spot every now and then.

Yes I've had this a few times in the past few weeks and just saw my midwife yesterday.  She examined my cervix and didn't see anything wrong.  We are pretty sure based on timing that it had nothing to do with sex (was feeling too sick the few days before it happened both times) and can't think of anything specific to attribute it to.  Anyway, what she told me is that given that I have no other signs of problems (e.g., cramping or signs of early labor) there is nothing to worry about.  So I agree with the others that you should check in, but also that's my 2 cents about how you probably don't need to worry

Ok thank you all.  You have all made me feel so much better. I have an appointment for tomorrow with my doctor.  You are all so awesome.
