Cyst :(

I went in for my u/s this morning. I have a cyst. It isn't a CL cyst- but is on the opposite ovary that I ovulated from. It isn't huge- but unfortunately I am back on the waiting game plan.

I talked about not wanting Clomid again, and my RE agreed. He said we will go with Femara, although he is very careful about the potential for teratogenic effects if there is an undetected pregnancy, so I will get even MORE monitoring once I move on to that.

Then there was the inevitable talk about injectibles, HOM's, cancelling cycles, and converting to IVF etc...So I am feeling pretty miserable. I hope I don' t ever have to think about these things- but I realize I may get to that point soon.

    Oh Marla, I'm sorry! My u/s this morning showed a cyst too (a CL one though).((Hugs))
    After 2+ years TTC, 1 miscarriage, & 3 failed IUI's... IVF#1 worked! DD born 2012
    2013 FET#1: BFP, but we lost the baby at 12 weeks
    2013 FET#2: BFN
    2014 FET#3: BFP, but our sweet baby was born sleeping at 33 weeks
    IVF#2: BFP! DD born 2015
    2017 IVF#3: BFN
    2017 IVF#4: BFN
    1st Dx = Unexplained IF, 2017 Dx = DOR

    I'm so sorry about the cyst.  I've heard a lot of good things about Femara working when Clomid didn't. Good luck!

    TTC since 2010

    lots of IUIs and 1 IVF all BFNs

    FET currently on hold

    Sorry! Cysts are the absolute devil. I have named mine Larry, it is so strange to know that you have this thing in you that you shouldn't. Mine is an endometrioma though.

    Hopefully yours goes away soon. You should try a castor oil pack!

    ETA: I have also heard good things about femara working after clomid caused cysts. My fingers are crossed for you!

    I'm sorry - I'm switching to Femara too because of a cyst. The waiting game is not fun.

    I'm sorry about the cyst - but I think your RE made the right move by switching you to Femara.

    I'm sorry to hear about your cysts. I had numerous cysts on clomid but on my first month of femara (which was last month) I had a follie but it wasn't mature. This month, I received my first mature follicle. I love femara & I haven't had any side effects, nor have I had a bfp but I hope it all works out for you.

    Sorry about the cyst... that reaaly sucks. Good luck with Ferma. I go may 2 to have my inevitable talk about injectibles, HOM's, cancelling cycles and converting to IVF.

    TTC since 1/2010 - Dx with Stage IV Endo
    11/10 - 100mg Clomid + trigger + IUI + Estradiol + Progesterone = BFN
    12/10 - Unmedicated cycle due to RE not doing treatments in December = BFN
    1/11 - 100mg Clomid + trigger + IUI + Estradiol + Progesterone = BFN
    2/11 - Same sh!t, different month = IUI cancelled due to no response = BFN
    IVF #1 - Start stims (Follistim) 5/10, add in Ganirelix 5/14
    ER 5/21 - 13 retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilized; ET 5/26 - transferred one perfect 1AA blast. 3 snowbabies.
    Beta 6/3 - 15.8; Beta 6/7 - 21.8; Beta 6/10 - 7 :(

    11/10: IUI #1 =100mg Clomid CD4-8 + pregnyl trigger + IUI = chemical pregnancy
    1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
    2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN
    IVF #1 April 2011 ER 4/23 w/16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fert., 4 blasts to freeze, 5dt of 2 blasts on 4/28, beta #1 5/7 = 243... beta #2 5/9 = 491....beta #3 5/11 = 1113!!
