Boy name clicky poll!

Dh and I had barely discussed names, but as soon as we found out that we're having another boy, that's all we could talk about. Obviously, we like classic names, preferably family names. We're more than likely going to go with the middle name of David -- it's a family name, but it's also the name of a very dear friend of ours that was killed in Afghanistan last year.

Here's the list...

ETA: Our last name is a simple, four letter LN....if that matters.

  • I don't know if this matters to you or not. When I hear Henry David, I think of Henry David Thoreau. It's a good association for me personally, but just wanted to let you know.

Good call -- we were trying to think of combos like that, but hadn't come up with that one yet.

  • Honestly, Henry is our top choice for a boy.  We weren't sharing that, but I couldn't resist when I saw this poll.  How funny if we both have a William and a Henry.  We're Team Green so I won't know until September! :)

They're good, strong, classic names! :)

  • We're going with Sam this time around so I am a bit biased;)

  • I voted Henry, but I'm biased, because that would have been our boy's name.  I also think it flows best with David (and how special, to name him after your friend!).  That being said, I think all three names are excellent.
  • Love Samuel.  Jacob is nice too, but I like Samuel the best!

  • Henry David is our boy name, too so that got my vote!

We also had Samuel and William on our short list!

Same here! I love the name Henry. By the looks of the poll results we aren't making this decision any easier on you...looks about even.

  • I like all three choices. But, I picked Samuel because I like Will and Sam better together. When I think of William and Henry I think of the two English princes, since those are the same names and in the same order. That isn't a bad thing though, it is just the first thing I think of.
