? about baby's solid poop

For babies who's eating solids, is it normal for the poop to be solid and not runny? My DS is BF and has been having solids for 3 weeks now but ever since yesterday his poops has been thick and clumpy. My DH saw that the baby giving him a look as if he was pushing or struggling to push his poop out. Please help as I'm starting to freak out.

    This is happening to us too.  Our DD has been in various stages of constipation for the last couple of weeks (as we've been introducing solid foods).  I think some level of solid poop is normal, but if it is very hard or dry, that indicates constipation.  We try to give water to DD with every meal and our pedi said that peaches and prunes were good for constipation.
