Hi all!
I am currently 30 wks pregnant with twins and lately have noticed a dramatic change in how I am feeling. I am having a very diificult time waking up for work, although I can barely sleep through the night. I have body aches all over- even in my fingers (it feels like I have the flu), I have little to no energy, and I have begun cramping.
I am just wondering if this was similar to the end of your twin pregnancy?? Do these symptoms mean I'm close to the end??
Just a side note: I spent 6 days in the hospital a few wks ago for a shortened and funneling cervix. One of my MFMs wanted me on bedrest for the duration of my pregnancy, my other MFM doesn't subscribe to bed rest and encouraged me to continue my usual activites (working, exercising, hose keeping, etc). I have taken it easy and listened to my body. But now I feel like my body is shutting down and i'm worried I will deliver soon.
Re: Twin moms and those preg w/ twins, please help
It sounds just about right for 30 weeks. I think at that point we started having groceries delivered because I couldn't make it up and down the aisles of the grocery store. I remember furniture shopping between 30-32 weeks and I had to sit down every few sofas to catch my breath.
Definitely listen to your body. It is telling you it is time to slow down even more. I did a week of full bedrest at 25 weeks and at 36 weeks and the rest of the time I did modified bedrest. I usually slept in 3 hour increments. I was working from home after 32 weeks so that made it easy.

This may sound kind of off the wall, but do you think it could be a fluid gain? Have you gained any extra weight over the past few days?
Not that your situation is the same as mine was, but at 30 weeks I started feeling sore all over, and at my next appt. I was up nearly 10 lbs (from the week before), my BP was high and I was spilling proteins. I ended up being admitted to the hospital for pre-ewhere I stayed until I delivered my girls at 34 weeks.
I hadn't realized that the sore all over feeling I had was from excess fluid gain because it happened all over, and not just in my hands and feet like I thought it would. The whole time I was in the hospital, I would gain and lose 10-15 pounds every few days from excess fluid because of the pre-e, but I never felt swollen.
Again, I don't know that this is what you have going on, and I don't mean to concern you, or get you worried, but I wanted to throw this out there as something to be aware of. I think anytime you are 'just not feeling right', especially with a twin pg, it is absolutely reasonable to call your doc. In fact 'just not feeling right' was one of the 'symptoms' that my doc would remind me to call about. GL!

Yup this sounds about right! I haven't had any cervix issues, but the body aches, not sleeping, hard to walk..all normal for about 30wk. I think it hit me the hardest after 33 weeks. Like you said just listen to your body, don't overdo it, stay off your feet as much as possible..i know the pain from walking was much better the less I got up and about. GL!
The cramping sounds like early contrax though..make sure to monitor those and talk to your dr about it.
I am 31 weeks tomorrow and had a drs appt on Tues. I am feeling more tired, more pains and cramping too. My dr said to get more rest, take it easy put muself on bed rest. You need to take care of yourself and those babies and keep them cooking as long as you can.
best wishes
