jumping on the vent train

dd has been teething since late last week and i'm at my wits end.

she won't let me give her motrin. she will take the teething tablets but they don't seem to give her much relief. we have a snow cone maker which i've been making her snow cones because last time that's the only thing that seemed to give her relief, but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick either.

she's miserable so she's screaming when the littlest thing happens, and pretty much whenever you tell her not to do something.and for some reason she now has the propensity to do things, or get into trouble that she normally wouldn't... ugh...

in the meantime i'm trying to start slowly packing some boxes for our move coming up. so in order to help her, i give up on packing and just try to sit with her and console her, BUT, that is not making her happy either...

i just want my happy playful little girl back

Awe. I hope they pop through very soon. have you rubbed her gums with your fingers? I know this sounds really weird but have you tried rawhide? I did that with DS1 and it worked wonders.

i haven't tried rawhide, nor do i think i have any laying around... lol

she won't let me touch her mouth at all... i'm almost ready to run out and buy an amber teething necklace, but no one near me sells them...

i think we're just in for it until they finish popping thru

awwww i have a friend whos duaghter is teething too and she just doens't know what else to do.... i feel for you hopefully they'll cut through soon and things will be much better

That does not sound fun at all, I hope it gets better soon.

If you do try the rawhide make sure it is not treated with chemicals and more importantly take pics to show us

Does she like to color??? We just moved and I let DD color and paint on the boxes and crates. It kept her attention for around 20 mins and let me pack!

freeze a wet washcloth and let her chew on it

Have you tried mixing the motrin in with the snowcone?  That way she'd get it and wouldn't know it.

dh came home and that made things a little better.... daddy's girl all the way. she finally took motrin from him, but not me... whatev... lol

i was thinking about mixing the motrin into the snow cones too. 

i set her up outside with her easel and markers earlier today, she loves being in the backyard, and drawing, but that lasted 2mins

i didn't try a frozen washcloth, i've got ice packs too that i was going to attempt to give her

and i figured that by the time i ordered an amber necklace online, she'd be done teething when i got it...

poor kid has 3 or 4 all coming in at the same time
